Adopt A Little MonStar!

MonStars Mastiff Rescue  is a not-for-profit rescue based out of Ontario, Canada.

MonStars’  mission is to effectively and safely provide foster home environment rehabilitation to all types Mastiffs and similarly characterized breeds.

The OSPCA recently seized animals that were a result of an investigation. One of the dogs was a young female Bullmastiff .  Three days into her holding in the shelter she delivered seven puppies! Up until last week she had been by their side raising. Having puppies in a shelter environment is not ideal for any female…let alone a first time momma. Therefore she is currently working on her interaction with people and will be brought into the MonStars family over the next few weeks. Her pups are now in the care of MonStars.

The pups are Bullmastiff/Rottweiler crossed puppies are currently 8-weeks-old. They are available for adoption through MonStars Mastiff Rescue.

The litter is made up of three bouncy boystrous males and four feisty (yet dainty) females. The boys have a strong confidence and enjoy exploring and investigating (and wrestling of course), while the girls are typical mastiff females with confidence and bounce!

Due to the personalities in the litter MonStars does have a minimum requirement for adoption…that the adoptive families have Mastiff or Rottweiler experience. The pups are expected to range in size and weight from 90lbs to 120lbs and will be required to complete multiple levels of training. As some of the pups are already displaying behaviours that will require more attention than others, MonStars is requesting that any interested applicants provide a thorough and detailed description of their home dynamic, breed experience and training abilities.

Last week, I met five out of the seven puppies: Pebbles, Bam Bam, Bree, Khloe and Bruno (photographed below).

The other two puppies (Mason and Tina) are in a foster home and are ready for immediate adoption. Tina is the tiniest of all the pups and is very social and Mason is identical to Bruno in every way.. He’s a big boy, cuddly and confident.
