Farewell Spencer
Today I have sad news to share. This past weekend my friend said goodbye to her little man, confidant and sidekick for 15 years, Spencer.
I first met Spencer and his bro Chubby, in the summer of 2007 for a Dogs in Canada shoot featuring the Ontario Dock Dogs, where we enjoyed a soaking-wet afternoon at the Welland Canal.
Even though he was a senior at the time, Spencer kept up with the rest of them…with a little help from his life vest.
You can just see the joy on his face every time he swam to retrieve his beloved Wubba.
He was definitely given one amazing life by you, Erin. He will be truly missed and fondly remembered by everyone who met him.
So long, little pal. Swim free. XOXO
Spencer sure loved his Wubba!
Massive determination for such a wee guy.
Spencer always got excited when it was Chubby’s turn at the dock.
Sometimes we waited patiently for him to come back… and sometimes they swam back together.
We met again over the years (this photo was taken at Summer Woofstock 2010).
I last saw the little man at Winter Woofstock where he was wearing his “Spencer” jersey. He was sweet enough to shared his cheese treats with me.
What an awesome little guy! So spry for his age. It’s obvious how much he loved the water. Sending my condolences to his family. xo
What a beautiful tribute! Spencer will definitely be missed by all of us.
Thank you so much for this tribute, he was one of a kind and will be greatly missed…
A tribute that truly captures Spencer’s personality. Panic is going to miss his little buddy and I know he will always hold a place in my heart.
What an tribute for an awesome little dude. He was definitely one of a kind. Mr. Personality Plus. Our little dock troll will be sorely missed 🙁
Beautiful photos. I’m so glad Erin has them to remember her baby boy by.
He will definitely be missed by many. He was such a larger than life personality…i can hear his angry little bark when looking at some of your beautiful pictures. He will never be forgotten. RIP Little Man xo
