Farewell George

Sweet George passed away recently at the age of 12. We last saw him a few months ago at the beach, enjoying a dip in the lake on a blustery spring day.

I first met Georgie when he was one half of the yellow lab duo George and Gracie in 2011. Sadly Gracie passed away just over a year ago. It’s a lovely thought to think of them back together again. Please leave some supportive words for their loving momma who wrote this beautiful tribute to her boy:

It’s with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my sweet boy, George. He was a true original. As many of you know, he was ’all bark and no bite’. A loving, gentle giant. When I adopted George, he was almost 3 years old. Age and ailments got the better of him, but knowing that he’ll be reunited with Gracie, makes my heart feel just a little lighter. The dog world will be a little less quirky without him in it. He will be missed. ~ Diane
