why i love my bunny
late thursday night i snuck up to the cottage to surprise my family. when the morning came, i was awakened by my bedroom door being thrown open, and “SURPRISE!” being yelled by my niece at the top of her little 6-year-old lungs (which if anyone knows my niece, knows that that’s louder than most train whistles). then she ran and jumped on top of me and gave me the biggest bear hug and brightest smile ever, “I MISSED YOU AUNTIE MARCIA!”. as far as i’m concerned that’s the best wake-up call i could ever get.
i just love my little bunny and all the ways she lights up my life. here are just a few of the many wonderful qualities she has that i was reminded of this past weekend:
1. she loves to explore and is always completely amazed at every little thing she discovers. for example: an abandoned bird’s nest is like gold to her!
2. speaking of bird’s nests…she always wakes up with one at the back of her head (just like me).
3. she loves to share. we went wild blueberry picking and she saved the very last one for me.
4. she loves to take care of her family. poor auntie mellie hurt her foot, so kala picked her some daisies (mel’s favourite flower).
5. she wants to learn how to do everything and in such meticulous detail. she even gave me a few fishing tips. 6. and last but not least…she’s not afraid to try anything once!
THAT’S MY GIRL!
oohh that bird’s nest is awesome!! and is she attempting to eat a worm there?? lol too funny!
What a lucky girl to have her life recorded like you do! She has such an awesome family around her. When she get old the memories to ponder on will keep her going. Way to go Leeders!! Keep up the good work. Love D
If I imagine it is an oreo cookie covered gummy worm, I’m OK 😉
Beautiful story and photos!!!
