the jelly bellies

now the title is not a comment on any physical traits of this family, yet rather a reference to their love of the the original gourmet jelly bean.

not a usual method for bonding on a family photo shoot, but this family loves their candy. i’m talking candy necklaces, pez and most importantly jelly beans! so, we got everyone hopped up on candy and let them run free!

i enjoyed watching their acrobatics, afro-caribbean dancing and monkey rides around the backyard. mom and dad got in on the action too (shhhh, i won’t tell anyone that mom is stronger than dad).

the nature in the yard also played a big part of our afternoon. i think i lost my hearing for a few hours from the screams from the spiders found (yet they were okay with picking up the slimy slugs).

another great part of the day was the invention of the jelly bean kiss.

the kids were so sweet to share their candy with me and i left with my own mixed bag of jelly belly beans.

i had so much fun!

p.s. i ate the whole bag before i got home. i was hopped up on sugar for the rest of the night. thanks for the new addiction!
