not so much ‘trouble’
last week i met an adorable shaggy yorkiepoo named milou (pronounced mee-loo). according to his momma (who successfully gave him his latest haircut) his nickname is ‘trouble’.
on arrival i noticed that his energy level was pretty high, so, i started off bonding with him in the backyard, throwing the ball around…also hoping that all that exercise would tire him out so that i would have his attention when it was time for portraits with mom. but, i learned quickly that as long as there was a ball anywhere in his eye-line, the calming result i was hoping for was just not going to happen. any colour shape or size, he was all about the ball. chasing it, rolling it, pushing it closer to me with his nose so i would throw it again. i especially got a kick out of milou staring the ball down while it was on the ground. almost as if he was waiting for it to magically move on its own.
once we moved indoors we made full use of the house. starting off in the kitchen, where every morning he sits at the kitchen table across while his momma eats. the thought of this cracked me up, so i had to recreate the scene and capture it. in the spare room/play room, he attacked his favorite stuffed bunny and we played some more ball. when we finally put all the toys away, in the living room he turned his attention on his mom and showered her with kisses. what a sweet boy.
i have to say that overall ‘trouble’ was on his best behaviour for me.
