wally’s girls

i had the absolute honour of photographing one of my lifelong friends and her family during a bitter sweet moment in their lives.

wonderful news came in early february, when a beautiful baby girl was born at 6lbs 10oz. the devastating news came shortly after when baby’s grandpa passed away suddenly. sadly, being at opposite sides of the country, they never had the chance to meet each other.

i met this fantastic family when i was six years old and they mean the world to me. it’s difficult to watch them go through the waves of sadness. my hope is to give them back all of the love and support that they have treated me to over the years.

i know one thing for sure…wally would be so proud of his beautiful girls.
