Farewell Kena

In May, i met and photographed Kena (the blind and deaf, 16-year-old Min Pin) and her momma.

Sadly, Kena passed away yesterday with her momma by her side. what a special little soul she was. she had a way of drawing in anyone who met her, including myself and this group of school children from the day of our shoot. it was one of my favourite life moments ever.  I felt fortunate to have been there to capture it.

Thank you Kena for making many lives that much brighter while you were here.

Sending huge love out to you Jo. xo

Please feel free to leave your condolences in the comments below for Kena’s momma.

My heart goes out to you. There is no replacement for those who we have loved so much that are not with us anymore to love us back. But in our hearts we feel them and the memories we have come back to life. Until the day we are together once again they lay in God’s lap whole and happily waiting for our return.

Many thanks for your condolences. I still miss her everyday and hope to be reunited with her someday. Right now, I’m sure that she is bugging her “brother”, my Golden, Tuck up there.
